Golden SHores / Topock Arizona

Golden Shores,Arizona is the end of the Arizona Historic route 66 at I-40 .The Old Route 66 River Bridge which now supports the pipeline can still be seen in neighboring TOPOCK . History has it that   when weary migrants reached this point and first sighted the river, they were ecstatic. The road from Oatman to Topock, passing through Golden Shores, has now been resurfaced and is a lovely treat for the eyes. One of the most scenic drives along route 66 one will pass through the small town of Golden Shores. Golden Shores hosts less than 3,000 residents. There is a variety of things to do in Golden SHores and the friendly residents here are always happy to assist the visitors to the area in finding what they have come to see. One of the most memorable sights for myself here in Golden Shores is the old Post office. A small blue building located by the Community Center. I recall as a little girl i would go with my grandma to check her mail in this tiny building which always had a friendly lady behind the counter.
Now Golden Shores has a new, more modern post office to serve the quickly growing community needs.

Golden Shores VFW POST 6306

Topock Tribune

This week in Golden Shores we are ready for the Ghosts and Goblins!
The VFW will host a haunted house for our youth community members on at the VFW. Please remember to go over good manners with your  children before allowing them to attend any community event as the actions of our children do reflect on the community and the parents in this community as a whole. "Please and thank you" always go a long way. The VFW has been graciouse enough to host this event and of course we would love to see it as a returning event. Good times bring good memories and future fun to be enjoyed.Let's remind our children to be thankful for the kindness our community members offer them. RESPECT.

Each year the Golden shores fire department has hosted our safe trick-or-treating,however this year they will not be doing so. SO if you allow your children to trick or treat this halloween in our community please go over safety rules with your children.Remember that only houses with lights on are welcoming trick or treaters this year. Parents please do not allow your children to go out  unattended.
Have  a safe and happy halloween
